Within ExxonMobil, PI is deemed as an instrumental tool in storing time-series production and facility data for surveillance, reporting and analytics purposes. Gathering high quality data is vital, but what more important than having the data is how we plan to manipulate and visualize it.
With the release of PI Vision 2021, it has enabled our organization to unlock few opportunities within the surveillance space. PI Vision is a powerful operational visualization tool which develops more significant data with the built-in analytics capabilities. With the seamless integration with PI Asset Framework, PI Vision has become a more user-intuitive tool by providing operational insights that would assist our engineers in critical decision making situations. The current technology offering has influenced us to build a robust visualization solution; with the ability to manage load balance, failovers and maintaining a centralized visualization platform for ExxonMobil users.

Currently the PI System Architect for ExxonMobil.15 years working within the Information Technology discipline in the oil and gas industry. Exposed to business process and optimization effort using PI for the last 6 years. Prior working experience with other multinational oil and gas organizations in Malaysia. Holding a Bachelors Degree of Computer Science from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Executive MBA from Universiti Teknologi Mara. Involved in multiple major PI projects such as green field deployment, system integration and automation.
