The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has taken bold steps towards OT/IT integration by designing the industry’s first ever Integrated Smart Operations Center (iSOC) that combines Asset Health, IT Network Health, Cyber Health, and Physical Security in a unified space.
Utilizing the Enterprise Agreement with OSI, time stamped data has been made available to the iSOC & every Operations Manager, Plant Engineer, and Headquarters Engineer who requires it.
Recently, NYPA completed an effort to establish an AF structure that is synchronized with the Asset Management system & deployed a set of standard templates for major hydro and thermal assets such as turbines, generators & transformers which has radically changed the way it accesses and assesses asset health.
Templated PI Vision displays built off a consistent AF provide the iSOC, Operations & Engineering teams ready access to data and set the foundations of a world-class asset management program utilizing machine learning & analytics.
