The Data Value Chain: From Edge to Impact
The emergence of smart sensors, wireless networking, cloud computing and associated initiatives such as the Industrial Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 have given industrial operators the ability to generate and process more data than ever before and have paved the way for their digital transformation. Like most precious resources, this newly acquired data requires stewardship to be managed and used effectively, but unlike most precious resources, data can gain value the more it is used. Join Alicia, Liz, and Chris in this session as they describe AVEVA s product portfolio for managing the data value chain, from edge to cloud, including collecting, sending, storing, analyzing, and sharing this data; they will also share examples of how this data is positively impacting AVEVA s industrial operator customers.

Elizabeth McErlean
Elizabeth McErlean is a Senior Strategic Product Manager at AVEVA focusing on use cases around integrations and advanced analytics. She is responsible for the strategic direction of data science enablement use cases related to PI Integrators and AVEVA Data Hub. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Outside of work, Elizabeth loves to travel and bake for her friends and family.

Chris Felts
Chris is a Staff Strategic Product Manager at AVEVA responsible for the data collection product strategy including edge and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Chris joined OSIsoft (now AVEVA) in 2014 as a Solution Architect with over 25 years of process automation, data management, and project execution experience having worked in various engineering and product marketing roles in the power, process, and semiconductor industries. Chris spent the 15 years prior to joining OSIsoft at a global process automation company where he worked closely with OSIsoft to develop applications and solutions to integrate with the PI System. Chris has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University, holds several patents in the areas of process automation and data management, and is a registered Professional Engineer.

Alicia Coppock
Alicia Coppock is a Senior Technical Product Manager at AVEVA focused on data science enablement in AVEVA Data Hub. She is responsible for the Data Views and AVEVA Data Hub Power BI Connector products. Alicia first joined OSIsoft (now AVEVA) in 2012 as a Technical Support Engineer and has also served as a Product Manager for PI System visualization products. Prior to joining OSIsoft, she worked as a Process Engineer in the semiconductor industry. Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
