Safe Access to PI System Data: Anytime, Anywhere - Waterfall
Enterprise-wide and even Internet-wide access to operational data drives automation, efficiencies, and agility - for utilities, regulators and critical infrastructures. The problem with access though, is cyber risk, especially risk to physical operations. The threat is real - today's ransomware groups target everyone with money. These criminals are today using the tools and techniques that only a few years ago, only nation-states used. In this presentation we look at how to share our operations data with any system or person in our business, customer, regulator and supplier ecosystems - with complete safety. We start with the latest OT incident data and move quickly into powerful OT protections for even the most connected enterprises. We finish with examples in transmission systems, power generation and water treatment. And we look quickly at how standards and guidance are evolving to embrace safe connectivity for even the most sensitive of industrial operations.
