Russ’s role at Hershey is the facilitate the development of the companies Digital Manufacturing architecture strategies, standards and investment roadmaps. He facilitates Hershey’s Digital Manufacturing Center of Practice that is comprised of CME’s from across IT, OT and Global Supply Chain Solutions. The CoP focuses on six technical pillars including: Systems, Networks, Integration, Platforms, Asset Management and Security and Risk Management within manufacturing.
Russ has held various Engineering, Process Improvement, Quality, Manufacturing Operations, and Information Services positions over his thirty-three-year career. He has supported multiple industries at leading manufacturing companies including: Hercules Chemical, Mobil Chemical, Avery Dennison, Applied Extrusion Technologies (Acquired by Taghleef Industries in 2012), and The Hershey Company.
Hershey has been an OSIsoft customer for over 20 years and have deployed the PI System across five of their flagship plants as a foundational piece of their machine integration and asset intelligence landscape. Russ has been a PI System User since 1998 and has presented at multiple OSI User Conference events over the years.
