PI Coresight was renamed PI Vision in 2017
Pertamina owns and operates 6 refinery facilities which are located in the archipelago of Indonesia. Total installed capacity of these refineries is more than one million barrels stream day (MBSD), making Pertamina the largest company with refinery assets in Southeast Asia and the fifth largest in Asia.
Our refineries process domestic and imported crude oil into a variety of fuel and non-fuel products consisting of LPG, Propylene, Solvents, Petrochemical Products, and Lube base products. Operational performance achievement of our refineries shows a positive trend by the increasing of yield valuable product (Gasoline, Diesel, Aviation Fuel, Paraxylene and Benzene) on intake.
For the national energy security, Pertamina refineries must maintain a minimum of 20-day product inventory to cover the demand for over Indonesia’s 1000+ islands, and the large dependency on imported oil is the duty to be met to maintain the balance between security and economics of supply.
Complexity of oil calculation from crude intake, internal material balance, demand, loading, discharging and minimum stock is simplified with the implementation of Refinery Oil Accounting System (ROAS) in combine with PI System technology (PI Data Archive, PI Coresight, PI AF) as real-time data feeder, data reconciliation, tank inventory data, SAP also supply & demand order. The quality of data feeding to ROAS is the key to reduce the amount of unaccounting loss (material unbalance).
In this presentation, Mr. Leonard Tambunan, Mr. Hendro Nugroho and Mr. Platto Mutaqin will provide an update on implementation PI Coresight as data feeder to ROAS.
