YASREF, a JV between Saudi Aramco and Sinopec located in Saudi Arabia is a grass TaxonomyItemHtmls, complex, high conversion 400k BPD refinery focused on leveraging data to drive operational excellence and safety. As an Enterprise Agreement (EA) customer, YASREF has strategically implemented the PI System as an integration and applications real-time data infrastructure with the objective of standardizing, simplifying and unifying the portfolio of OT and IT applications and solutions. YASREF strategically selected the PI System as an infrastructure for the Integrated Refinery Information System (IRIS) with an Enterprise Agreement (EA) in October, 2013 in the engineering and construction phase to support the refinery startup in late 2014. As such, IRIS was designed, installed, and commissioned with a key goal of supporting the refinery during the startup phase. A key focus has been the use of the PI Server's Asset Framework, PI Notifications, and PI Coresight. This presentation will provide an overview of the IRIS's goals and objectives, architecture, applications, and use followed by the vision for the future.
