Philipp Sutter has an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and spent most of his professional life in the pharmaceutical industry. He is the owner of OctaveSoft GmbH in Basel, Switzerland. With more than 25 years of PI System experience, he has been involved internationally in various PI System implementations, upgrades, mergers, in the definition of global enterprise PI systems and AF structures, as well as the implementation of standard and custom interfaces and tools around the PI System infrastructure. He is a long-time member of the vCampus and PI Square community, and a PI System champion. He is involved every day in helping his customers gain the most value out of their PI Systems.

Gerd Fromm graduated as a Computer Scientist Engineer in 1998 and joined Roche in the same year as an IT Specialist where he was responsible for Manufacturing IT Systems like Novell Netware, Windows clients and Plant Systems. He started working with the PI System in 2006. In 2008 he moved to the position of Solution Architect for Integration Systems where he designed network architectures for manufacturing plants in Roche. Later in 2013 he became a Business Analyst professional. 2018 Gerd led the implementation of a global PI Platform which holds the PI data of all production plants in a well organized global AF structure and in 2020 he took over his current position as Global IT Product Manager for OSIsoft PI Systems and Applications.

Marcin Guth joined Roche in 2016 and since then he was responsible for product management of several manufacturing/ supply chain systems (Artworks, Packaging, QC/ QA Systems, Shop Floor, Alarm Management) having different project roles assigned as Quality Lead, Delivery Manager, Business Analyst and Project Manager. He started working with the OSIsoft PI System in early 2020 as the Squad Lead who coordinates the implementation of PI Historian applications, systems, projects, PoCs and strategic initiatives across Roche sites worldwide.

After a bachelor in Electronics, I started my career as a service engineer, going from site to site, being exposed to upgrades, exchanging materials or commissioning activities in IT. Soon after, I entered the energy industry and started to work with OSIsoft PI tools in the early 2000. I worked in projects execution, using OSI soft tools and made the PI install at customer sites (DA and processbook) in various location around the world. Often customers asked how to monitor their system This is how my journey in the monitoring world started. Several year later, I wrote my eMBA thesis about the strategic relevance and potential of big data in condition monitoring . In Pharma, the need for a monitoring tool bounced back on the table. This is how this new monitoring tool, become an International project within Roche and OSI help. This is the beginning of a fabulous journey, where possibility for analytic and notifications using OSIsoft tools are endless.

Bernd is a Pharmaceutical Engineer with 26 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry. He held various roles during that time in R&D, development and clinical manufacturing. In Global Engineering & Technologies, he is responsible for all OSIsoft products at Roche worldwide. Furthermore he is working in the field of building automation systems. In his last position in clinical manufacturing he was responsible for the PI Plattform as well as for all Utilities (water, steam, gas, etc), Monitoring and Maintenance. He recently redesigned the entire maintenance concept as a project manager within the Reduction Down Times project and significantly reduced the down time for maintenance activities. In his free time he spends time with family and friends with cooking, travelling and sports.
