Improving SCADA Data Accessibility Across Enterprise with OSIsoft’s PI System®
PI Server™ and PI Coresight™ enable the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) to collect, manage and present real time SCADA information from multiple remote water systems, sewer systems and landfill sites to system operators, managers and engineering analysts through WAN connections. Ever since the deployment of PI System®, access to SCADA data has become extremely simple and effective for the whole organization. By utilizing High Availability (HA) for PI Server™, PI Interface™ Failover and multiple WAN connections, the CVRD has developed a robust and reliable system with multiple levels of redundancy. In addition, the use of PI Server, coupled with Advanced Computing Engine (ACE), PI Coresight™, and PI ProcessBook® has significantly improved operational efficiencies and enabled savings in term of time, labor and cost.
