Implementation of an OSIsoft PI System in support of advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing (Pfizer,NECI)
Pfizer WRD in partnership with NECI implemented a 3 stage PI system to most effectively utilize and implement novel advanced manufacturing technologies. The PI Integrator for Business Analytics was used for the publishing of asset framework data to external analytical tools. By historizing the PCMM Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian data into the PCMM PI System and providing Asset Framework Data Models, the PI Integrator for Business Analytics will be able to publish data with meaningful context for immediate consumption by Redshift and visualization in Spotfire. Availability of this data in a centralized, enterprise accessible location, has resulted in improved process development, productivity, and product quality.
