"High Availability" PI System
The presentation starts with an overview of the Replication initiative, spanning the PI Interfaces, PI Server and PI Clients. Through live demonstrations discover how Replication works and the value it brings in areas such as availability, reliability, and scalability of your PI System. The talk concludes with a discussion of the roadmap for PI System HA.
Colin Breck joined OSIsoft in 2001 and is currently a member of the PI3 group working on the PI3 server replication project. He is also a part of the high availability initiatives UNIINT failover and interface point caching. Prior to this he worked on interfaces. He has a BSc (Eng) in Mathematics and Engineering from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
Dave Oda is a Software Developer with the PI SDK group. He has been with OSIsoft for over seven years and previously worked on software development in the Interfaces group. He has a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley, as well as Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Chemical Engineering from MIT.
