Cameron LNG is a world-scale LNG export facility on the USA Gulf Coast that began production operations in 2019 and now is the second largest LNG exporter in the USA contributing materially to making the USA the world s largest LNG exporter in 2023. Deploying a range of proven and innovative digital and data-driven technologies, Cameron LNG has developed a roadmap of digital improvement opportunities that are credible, competitive and affordable. This presentation will give an overview of two of the digital opportunity areas being pursued, describing technologies and Aveva solutions chosen, business outcomes, challenges and lessons learned.

Franz is a 30+ year industry leader and veteran in the area of digital technologies in O&G. Franz's background includes 30+ years at Shell in various global roles focused on applying IT and digital technologies in supporting safe, realizable, and sustainable operations in all segments.
Franz joined Cameron LNG in May of 2019 as the the IT/Digital Manager for the ~15 mtpa 3 train LNG liquefaction complex located in Hackberry, LA. In this role, Franz provided leadership and oversight for the sites IT and digital ecosystem with a particular focus on enhancing operator mobility, IIOT, analytics, and real time decision.
