Digital Transformation: Using Data to Drive Operations Efficiency @ Riverside Public Utilities
RPU has used OSIsoft's PI System to automate daily water operation reports that previously took staff at least 4 hours a day to create. These reports would not be available until noon, and included yesterdays information. Now they are accurate and up to date the moment they are opened.
RPU has integrated WaterTrax and ESRI GIS with OSISoft PI to improve water quality reporting and display the data on a map. Through the power of PI DataLink, RPU improved processing time on internal data requests and regulatory reports due to the State Water Resources Control Board Division of Drinking Water.
RPU has recently started using PI Manual Logger to increase efficiency while collecting production data at well and booster station sites.
