Digital Driving Net Zero Panel
Lisa Johnston, AVEVA Chief Sustainability Officer & CMO will host a high-profile executive panel on the theme of how digitalization is driving net zero alongside speakers from Microsoft, Schneider Electric, Neste and Orsted. Panellists will share how they are partnering with AVEVA to optimize sustainable operations, enhancing safety, efficiency, minimizing emissions and driving digital resiliency through a combination of AI-infused analytics and contextualized information. During the 30-minute discussion, the five executives will discuss how their companies technology solutions providers, cloud providers and industrial leaders are adapting to drive sustainability and how digital transformation is accelerating as an enabler of net zero and lower carbon industrial operations. The panel will also consider key challenges that the industries of the future are facing, and how, through collaboration, industries can accelerate sustainable digital transformation.

Salla Ahonen
Salla Ahonen is the Vice President of sustainability at Neste. Salla s primary focus is on realigning the
sustainability focus areas of Neste and ensuring they are fully integrated to the business strategy. A
key milestone has been the approval of the new climate strategy to reach carbon neutral production
by 2035, which is now one of the strategic priorities of the company. To support this strategy, a
roadmap has been developed, roles and responsibilities clarified and first initiatives implemented,
including changing the investment criteria to support climate targets.
Before joining Neste in 2019, Salla worked as a Senior Advisor at the Brussels office of the
Confederation of Finnish Industries (2015 2019), and as Director of Governmental Affairs at Microsoft
(2014 2015). Prior to that Salla has held several positions at Nokia, the latest one being Director for
Sustainability & Environmental Policy. The areas of responsibility of her previous career have been
focused on sustainability and environmental related policies, and also featured themes, such as
digitalization, research and innovation, circular economy, trade policy and smart cities as well as
intelligent transport.

Jesper Skov Gretlund
Jesper Gretlund holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark and a Bachelor in Finance from Copenhagen Business School. In 2012 he joined Ørsted to lead the company s technology- and R&D projects primarily within offshore wind focusing on industry collaboration and academic involvement. He is recognized as one of the world s most highly cited researchers, is an Associate Editor in Chief for the Ecological Society of America s EcoSphere journal, an honorary Fellow at the UN Environment Program World Conservation Monitoring Center, and serves on the boards of organizations dedicated to environmental sustainability around the world. In 2021, he was appointed to the Advisory Council and Board for the Theodore Roosevelt Genius Prize, awarded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service to encourage technological innovations that advance its mission.
Previously, Dr. Joppa was Microsoft s Chief Environmental Scientist in Microsoft Research. As part of his work he founded Microsoft s AI for Earth program a $50 million cross-company effort dedicated to delivering technology-enabled solutions to global environmental challenges. Dr. Joppa remains an active scientist, speaking frequently on issues related to artificial intelligence, environmental science, and sustainability. Along with his Ph.D., Dr. Joppa holds a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Wisconsin and is a former Peace Corps volunteer to Malawi.

Olivier graduated from Grenoble BusinessSchool in France (GEM,France).
He began his career at Schneider Electric in 1993 and held various positions in the France Commercial organization, from Sales Engineer to Vice-Director Country Sales. In 2001, he was appointed as Secretary of the Executive Committee and Global Company Program Vice President.
