Conversation on Critical Operations with Johnson and Johnson
Part of the Johnson and Johnson group, Janssen Pharmaceutical is one of the most innovative pharmaceutical companies in the world. Over the past several years, Janssen Biologics focused on implementing an MES system using the PI System as a key enabling component of the product execution system. This presentation will give an overview of this architecture, highlighting the use of PI Asset Framework (AF). This presentation will show how MES system data integrated with PI System data is changing the way people visualize the production process. Using the PI System has led to better decisions and ongoing improvements such as: Reduced cycle times; Superior batch quality and releases; Decreased process variability; Real-time costing; Better alarm management, security monitoring and thorough incident investigations. In this conversation, Barry shares aspects of why this is still the key objectives to the pharmaceutical operations and how the PI System is de-facto the single source of truth at JnJ.
