Solution Overview
Topview is a feature rich alarm monitoring and reporting system that works safely and seamlessly with a PI System® including AF Servers as well as other data sources. It supports multiple ways to deliver messages such as through email, SMS, alphanumeric pagers, cellular phones, and more. Many of the communication channels support two-way communication for alarm acknowledgement or for querying of the current state via remote access. Also, Topview provides alarm reports, as well as alarm analytics to recognize over-alarming, bad actors and alarm floods as part of an alarm analysis and rationalization process.
Topview lets people know when something is wrong by contacting the right people, at the right time, using the correct contact method (phone call, SMS, email, audio alarm, and more). It can improve operational efficiency and reduce alarm response times by providing a reliable, easy to configure, yet advanced alarm management system.
Solution Approach
Works with standalone PI Servers 3.4.375.38 or can monitor AF Attributes using AF SDK 2.8.6 or later.
Topview supports the following: OSIsoft PI, PI AF, Rockwell FactoryTalk Historian, OPC/SCADA, OPC A&E, SQL Lookup, SQL Events, PerfMon, and custom data sources.
