The Barrick Goldstrike Mine has three active Air Quality Operating Permits. Data is consolidated and reported in monthly compliance logs, which are then reviewed by the State of Nevada’s Bureau of Air Pollution Control. The data is obtained primarily through the PI System; however, for many compliance points, data must still be manually recorded in the field. This presentation will highlight the migration of compliance requirements into the AF hierarchy and the new way in which data is managed through advanced analytics and notifications. Overall, the system offers a unique set of solutions that will:
•Eliminate the dependence on complex, intermediate Excel spreadsheets
•Significantly reduce the number of man-hours involved in preparing reports
•Create an organized hierarchy that can adapt and grow along with the Permits
At the project’s completion, the compliance logs for the Process Division will be automatically generated.
