This presentation discusses the changes in Swiecie’s PI System over the last decade, showing the transition from the Mill-wide System which focused on the integration of data from Production Controls Systems, into the Enterprise-wide System that involves data at both the CRM and Enterprise levels.
Over the years, the PI System infrastructure at Swiecie has been upgraded from PI Servers with 5,000 to 50,000 data streams, and transitioned from the PI Server into the PI Assets Framework (PI AF) environment with extended functionalities. Current PI System implementation at Swiecie includes PI AF, PI OPC DA/HDA Server Interface, PI Universal File Loader (UFL) Interface, PI Relational Database Management System (RDBMS via ODBC) Interface, PI ProcessBook, PI DataLink, PI WebParts, PI Notifications, PI MCN Health Monitor, PI Advanced Computing Engine (PI ACE), PI ProfileView, and PI Module Database along with over 40,000 tags in use.
